Påskeferie i Ilulissat – Part One

Gåtur til isfjorden....der er en boardwalk men den er ikke meget værd for klapvognskørende om vinteren

Så er påsken næsten omme og vi var et smut i Ilulissat for at sejle mellem isbjergene, køre på hundeslæde, spise god mad og nyde det fine påskevejr. Men ak, utur og vejrguder fik næsten spoleret turen hvad udendørs oplevelser angik. Vi fik rigtig det omskiftelige Grønlandske vejr at føle.

Vi fløj i flot solskin over skyerne der til, men desværre var der overskyet og tåget da vi kom ned. Derudover var der havis og det var pakket tæt. For at toppe det hele så regnede der og var tøvejr. Alt i alt betøde det aflysning af alle sejlture, charterbåden kunne simpelthen ikke komme forsvarligt til havs. Desuden udsatte vores hundeslædekusk vores slædetur pga. sjappet vejr. Oven i købet var helikopterturene også aflyst pga. dårlig sigtbarhed, så eneste mulighed for at komme ud og kigge på isbjerge var at gå…det blev en kende besværliggjort af manglen på terrængående/snegående klapvogn. Men vi forsøgte ikke desto mindre.

Kusken varslede bedre vejr og ville have os med ud på en tur søndag, men da tidspunktet oprandt ringede han og afblæste. Hans familie var strandet med en død snescooter inde i fjeldet og skulle hentes ud. Så han foreslog en tur mandag i stedet….der skulle vi så hjem! Men ok, vi skulle først tjekke ind til flyveren 11.15 så det lykkedes os rent faktisk at komme på en tur i sidste øjeblik. Knud var ikke stor nok til hundeslæde men tilgengæld fik han en Grønlandsk plejefamilie på rekordtid.

Der skete selvfølgelig også en masse andre ting på turen, vi fik bla. en forfærdelig masse god mad og drikke. Det dokumenteres alt sammen i indlæg om påsketur part deuce, for det er blevet sent og billederne er mange.

Vi fik ikke sejlet blandt isbjergene men vi fik da set et enkelt kæmpe et af slagsen på næsten nært hold. Hvis man har gode øjne kan man se fiskerbåde der bakser med isen i højre hjørne
Vi opholdt os en del på hotelværelset hvor Knud fik udviklet lidt på sine fjæser...han kom blandt andet op med et nyt som vi har døbt "Skilpadden"
Vi var en tur forbi en af hundepladserne hvor der blev samlet ind til et spand der skulle på tur
De fleste hunde blev ophidsede når der var optakt til slædetur
Andre hunde var mere eller mindre ligeglade
og helt andre igen var meget meget ligeglade
Det blev dog heldigvis også vores tur til at komme afsted
Hundende havde haft en hård tur ud for at redde Konrads familie dagen før, så det gik ikke altid hurtigere end fotrografen kunne hoppe af og tage billeder løbende....men han er jo også i god form!
Udsigt til 13 hunderøve der både skulle nå at skide, pisse og fise en hel del på vores 1,5 time lange tur....alt sammen foregik naturligvis i løb
Selvsamme røve på veje retur til i Ilulissat
og hjemme hos Konrads kone og døtre for at samle Knud op (Kunuti var han blevet omdøbt til) og prisen for at leje med 2 piger er at man må gå med fine lyserøde prinsessesko.
